Each summer Ver-tech Labs offers a number of paid summer internships for college students majoring in business, marketing, chemistry or related field. Interns are selected after a review of their university level coursework and on-site interview. This year, we have selected four interns for chemistry and marketing projects. Three students attend the University of Minnesota and one student attends St. John’s University (Collegeville, MN).
Students are expected to apply school based knowledge, current research and knowledge gained from workplace experience to various projects. The Ver-tech Labs staff works closely with the interns and provides numerous opportunities for the students to visit customer sites and gain hands on experience with our vehicle cleaning products. The interns make suggestions and with staff approval will move forward with implementation of their ideas.
Some projects our interns are working on currently include:
a. Quality control, titration charts and product customization by Jackie S., University of Minnesota, chemical engineering honors program major
b. Video editing, SEO and storyboarding video projects by Reed O., St. John’s University, environmental studies major
c. Website traffic analysis, building customer feedback channels and website improvements by Thao V., University of Minnesota, marketing major
d. Analysis of potential markets, content marketing and website improvements by Kyle L., University of Minnesota, marketing major.
