How well do your products rinse and why should you care? If you are using products that do not rinse well – you could be wasting water and interfering with the ability for your products to put out the cleanest car.
In an experiment with a number of competitor products and our reclaim compatible products, our chemists figured out how to show the car wash owner-operator the difference in product rinseability. We added a special dye to the products, sprayed it on a surface, rinsed equally with water and then shined a black light on to the rinsed surfaces. We were very surprised to see how much competitor product was left behind on the ‘rinsed’ surface.
While your vehicles may “look” like they’re rinsed, there’s residue that can interfere with drying agents and waxes. The end result might be wetter cars and less than super shiny vehicles. Another major problem with products that don’t rinse well, is that the car wash owner-operator might use more water to ensure the products are rinsed off. Using more water to rinse is expensive with the rising cost or water and environmentally unfriendly when you consider water waste.
